Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing and will focus his/her efforts on helping to develop and implement the annual Strategic Marketing Plan. Responsibilities may include work in all major marketing functions depending on the incumbents experience and the company’s business goals.  This work may include: Demand Generation, Sales Enablement, Customer Engagement and Marketing Operations.

The culture at Media Sonar is very collaborative.  All marketers work closely with their marketing peers and with other stakeholders within and outside of the company.

What we’d like you to do:

Demand Generation:

  • Develop and execute campaigns that will drive traffic to our website/landing pages, resulting in quality web leads that meet or exceed campaign lead volume targets
  • Create content to fuel our content marketing and lead generation plans (research, write, design)
  • Set-up and monitor reporting for all managed campaigns
  • Build and execute testing plans to continually improve results
  • Optimize key web and landing pages for SEO results
  • Build and maintain SEM programs
  • Support third-party events with the goal to generate warm, quality leads
  • Support lead management as requested

Customer Engagement:

  • Develop and manage customer engagement email programs and campaigns
  • Build and carry-out testing plan and associated reporting to continually improve all client focused programs
  • Support customer events including promotion and logistics

Sales Enablement:

  • Train sales representatives on all managed campaigns prior to launch
  • Develop strong, targeted sales collateral that clearly relays our value proposition and supports both the sales process and our buyer’s journey

Marketing Operations:

  • With other marketers, manage and maintain the corporate website
  • Learn and effectively operate all required marketing software (build templates, drip programs, reporting, landing pages etc.)
  • Maintain project management software for personal tasks and assigned projects

You should be someone who has/is:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field of study
  • 5-7+ years of related experience in B2B digital marketing, ideally in a high-tech products/services environment
  • An impeccable communication style – you have demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present in a compelling and concise manner
  • Strong research, writing, editing and proofing skills
  • Background in social media marketing
  • Experienced project management skills, including managing internal stakeholders, external agencies and multiple campaigns and projects at once
  • Accuracy, thoroughness in completing tasks, and strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm, passion, and being a team player is a must
  • Hands-on, technical experience with:
    • Web content management systems,
    • HTML emails,
    • Marketing automation software and other key martech,
    • Facebook and Google ads and retargeting display ads
    • Website analytics tools including Google Analytics
    • Google Adwords and Google Analytics certified – preferred
    • com or other CRM
    • SEO and keyword research
